Thanks to streborhcaz for the following. We all know that in General IMDB can be edited by a few people so this is why I'm putting it in Rumours for now.
So earlier today I went into IMDB.com to check out all the new cast members joining the show this season. When I went across Jeff Fahey's page it said that he is playing the role of Jacob and they are currently filming. I hit print screen and posted it up on my photobucket. I just went back after I got out of class and it's gone. I don't know if IMDB messed up and posted this information before they were supposed to, but it's gone now.

Well, all I know is that I hope he's not playing Jacob. I doubt we'll get to see much of Jacob in S04 and I'd really like to "see" Jeff.

Anyone can update IMDB just like Wikipedia so really you shouldn't trust them at all.

IMDB gets stuff wrong all the time. I worked features for a newspaper and learned the hard way, you can't rely on IMDB for concise info all the time...most of the time...but not all the time.
Actually, anyone can not edit IMDB and it is nothing like Wikipedia.
Not saying this isn't fake... shit happens, but IMDB isn't nearly as easily editable. I've been waiting for weeks to get some credits of my own cleared up and let me tell you it is far from instantaneous and is usually verified.
This is far more likely a photoshop fake. It would take 2 seconds.

IMDb is susceptible to well-intentioned fraud -- ie, pranksters who love to play with the minds of fanatics like you and me.
Like another poster mentioned, it isn't quite like Wiki in that you can't willy-nilly edit. You must submit your edit, and it can take some time for the edit to post. But anyone can submit anything with regard to anybody.
My guess is they receive so many submissions, there must be an automatic "posting" feature that shuttles many of the submissions through the process. I can't imagine that EVERY single entry is reviewed by a human being.
My money is on playing Minkowski too.
We know already he's going to play Frank Lapidus, so mark this as HOAX or FAKE.
