Thanks to Sarah for the following
Hey Dark. Someone named "TheNextHegemon" just post this on The Fuselage.
"You guys are on the right track. The key is the "him". The reason it is a twist though is it's not what you would expect.
The shooting in 4.3 will be shocking, but the shocking thing isn't who or why but who for?"
I have no idea if he is a reliable source or not, but I´m sending you this just in case you want to post on the rumors or something.
Or maybe not... hee

him = Jacob or people on the Freighter, not a lover. None of the people who escaped the island are allowed to see each other.
Jack shoots one of the other lostaways, for sure.
Just guessing based on the "for who" part of the rumor; also, wasn't it mentioned elsewhere that Jack chooses to aid/deal with/defects to the rescuers?
John shoots Ben because Jacob told him to?
Isn;t this episode to do with Sayid? So I reckon somethingbig happens to his storyline as he's been pretty much on the side-lines last season. I reckon, sayid shoots someone from the Freighter, maybe the Minkowski dude who was on the phone to Jack in last season's finale!!
Ben is gonna get his episode centric after the long break, he may die then in his episode. As quite a few characters have been down that road.
Sayid shoots Sawyer in a Flash Forward... He does it for Kate and Sawyer's (currently) unborn kid.
Spleen, Are you kidding? Sawyer does not get off the island in the future but sayid does, so how could Sayid shoot Sawyer? Just not possible to happen in the future.
I can't make sense of this; so let me get this straight, the shooting that occurs in 4.03 is to do with the him to Kate mentions in the final episode of season 3?
I've a funny feeling it'll be Sayid getting shot, but not dying. Maybe there's some sort of conspiracy theory with the Oceanic 6, and someone wants them all dead or arrested, so they're away from the public eye, and the someone who is ordering this was someone who was on the island?
I don't know how people can speculate on this, but good for you. I, personally, can't make heads or tails of it.
im with Dana, i have zero imagination on this, there is no way I could be a writer! I couldnt come up with cool ideas like C&D do.

He also said that "guns will be blazing" in 4.03 and 4.04. It certainly sounded to me like this "source" was implying that there would be another war on the island and that at least one big battle would be taking place in 4.03. Maybe that is why the frieghties only rescue a handful of the losties. Perhaps they leave the island in a hurry to save themselves from attack.
Anyway, he also said that one of the orignial Losties would be shot and that he wasn't sure yet whether or not the wound would be fatal.
So many possibilities but here's my guess...
Since its Sayid's episode, he will get shot in the FF. He will get shot(and die)because of something that he did on the island, maybe an act that enabled him to "be rescued" while leaving the rest behind.
Its the "who for" comment that confuses me. I think it means that the shock will be who shoots him.
I think Sayid will be shot dead in Germany. He's too entangled in secret agent/torturer stuff. I think he betrays his shadowy higher-ups by helping the Oceanic 6 get off the island. Nobody is supposed to leave, and Sayid will be held responsible and executed. This is what made Liz Mitchell cry when she read the script. It'll be shocking to say the least.
Didn't an earlier spoiler talk of Sayid being approached to do a job but saying he no longer needed money. Perhaps the interesting 'who for' is the person or agency who approach Sayid to kill someone. Sayid doesn't do the job but we find out the person concerned does die (at the had of an unknown assassin). We have seen the Others ruthlessly eliminate people before and doubtless the new people are just as ruthless.
I think the script that made EM cry was a later one. The one involving Sun. I always thought that the most likely death to make her cry was actually the baby. They made a terrible deal to save the life of the baby but it still dies. That would be truly awful.
I've been thinking long and hard about one, and here is the theory I've come up with.
"The key is the "him". The shooting in 4.3 will be shocking, but the shocking thing isn't who or why but who for?"
What I get from that is that the reason for the shooting isn't such a big shock, and neither is the person getting shot. I think that the shocking thing about it is 'who' actually does the shooting.
So taking that into consideration, who on the island, assuming the shooting takes place on the island, is least likely to shoot a person?
I can only come up with three names. The first one is Hurley. The second one is Walt. The third one is, wait for it... Aaron.
Yeah, good idea on Hurley being a shooter, dharmageddon.
That'd be a complete shock because Hugo was considered a pacifist until he crushed Pryce with the Dharma Bus. And he did that only because of imminent peril to his friends.
Dharmageddon, agree to a point...
I think that the shocking thing about it is 'who' actually does the shooting.
I think (Sayid) will be shot in his FF not on the island. But your assumption still applies.
Who FROM THE ISLAND would we least suspect would shoot him? My guess: not any of the remaining Oceanic 5 but someone from the island that we (the viewers) and Sayid will be surprised to see. Maybe someone that we didn't think would get OFF the island.
Candidates: Ben, Desmond, Walt. But WHY kill Sayid?
Nobody would consider Jack shooting someone on-island shocking?
He's waving a gun at someone in the promo. Who's to say whether he pulls the trigger?
Or...Sawyer shoots somebody to save Jack.
Remember Kate's line 'He'd never do something like that for you' or some such?
It would be pretty damn shocking if Sawyer did shoot somebody for Jack (Jack & Kate's??) benefit.
Not who or what but who for...
Since we know Michael is back, I think it could be Jin( or anyone...) shooting Michael for Hurley, for revenge on Libby...?
One thing about who the post is from... "TheNextHegemon" could be a reference to Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game series. (One of the book's is The Shadow of the Hegemon) On the "Speaker"'s myspace page, the headline is speakerwiggin. Ender Wiggin is the main character from those books.
Just some food for thought.
Seems like Sayid is working with the feds or cia or something like season 1. Hmmmmm who can he shoot that will make us go wtf?!
my guess is nadia.....but then again it may be for someone else....weird.
I believe Sayid is working for Ben in the future. Whatever happens, Sayid calls Ben for help. Just because there are only 6 Oceanic survivors doesn't mean anyone else didn't get off the island. I also think the "him" Kate is referring to is either Aaron or her own son. We've pretty much determined that Claire doesn't leave the island. Maybe there's not room on the helicopter for another adult, but they take Aaron anyway. Maybe raising a child is the only way Kate can get her life back together. Those are my theories.
